The HID MIFARE Reader/Writer Model 6055B (Part# 6055) is a versatile multi-purpose contactless reader/writer with dual communication ports: Wiegand for direct integration with standard access control panels, and RS-232 for PC or dedicated microcontroller applications. It operates in two modes — Security mode (Wiegand output, also echoed on RS-232) and Transaction mode (externally controlled via RS-232). Configurable as a MIFARE MAD, Sector, or CSN reader. Potted electronics protect against harsh weather and vandalism. Read range up to 2.0 inches. Mounts on a standard single-gang electrical box.

The Model 6055B HID MIFARE Reader is a multi-purpose contactless card reader/writer, with both Wiegand and RS232 ports, as well as external control lines for LED and Beeper control.

Use the Wiegand output format to easily integrate the reader/writer into standard access control systems. For other applications, an integral RS-232 output allows for connection to PCs or dedicated microcontrollers. When combined with an HID MIFARE credential, you have a powerful multi-application solution.
